Cure's 2012 Fashion Show

Cure's 5th Annual Fashion Show took place on Sunday 7th October where we showcased our Autumn Winter 2012 collections at the Guild Hall in Lichfield.

While the models got ready backstage, the amazing Emmie Spence sang and played piano as the guests entered the Guild Hall and were handed some delicious canapes by Lichfield's Artisan Baker Coco Meli. As they made their way to the Worth Brothers bar for a glass of wine the guests browsed the stalls filled with products from local businesses and some Cure accessories too! It was soon time to take to their seats and for the show to commence...

After Anna (Owner of Cure) introduced the show the music kicked in the models walked on in outfits for our first set, By Malene Birger, layers of luxurious fabrics and beautifully cut pieces made up this season's collection.
Our second set was 'Style Staples' with casually styled pieces that every woman should have in her wardrobe.

Next up was a set from our newest brand Paul Smith, we loved the colourful knitwear and beautiful leather jacket.
Our fourth set was 'Winter Woolies' we wrapped our models up in our cosiest pieces to show that you can be warm and stylish this winter!

Our final set in the first half of the show was from Barbour, the models strutted down the catwalk to Country Girl by Primal Scream in all of our fabulous Barbour jackets and accessories.. there was even some very special appearances from the Cure dogs Dotty and Billy in their own Barbour coats.

During the first half we also had a special set from Lichfield's very own maternity label Keungzai by Michelle Lee, the label is designed to be worn pre, during and post pregnancy so there's something for everyone and there were even two pregnant models to demonstrate how versatile the range is.

After the interval we started the second half of our show with a Butter by Nadia set. All of these dresses are the same signature style but can be wraped differently to give a completely new look.
We then displayed our most glamorous dresses in the 'Dress to Impress' section, perfect for those Christmas parties!

Our penultimate set was the '18 Hour Dress', showing our audience how to take one dress from day to night

We saved the best until last with a showcase of our favourite brand Vivienne Westwood, we love the liberty salon prints and metallic fabrics so we styled the collection minimally and let the clothes do the talking.

After the show we held the raffle of some fabulous prizes donated by Paul Smith, Ted Baker, Ugg, MiH, Sam Edelman, Becksondergaard, Take to Art, Flowers by Kate, Denham and Maison Scotch.

The guests then came across the road to the after party at the Cure shop with special discounts off all stock the store was filled to the brim and had a great atmosphere.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the night, helping us to raise money for the great charity ‘Jeans for Genes’. We had an incredible turn out and appreciate all of the support shown to us by our loyal customers.

Also a special thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes, Marc and his team at Obsession Salon for the hair plus Jean and Jackie from Arianne Poole Make Up.
