Yesterday the Cure team travelled down to London to check out Fashion Week!
Our first stop was the Nicole Farhi show at the beautiful venue of the Royal Courts of Justice. After a quick celeb spotting session, we managed to find Jameela Jamil, Anna Wintour and Bill Nighy. We're told that although she attended a couple of parties, Nicole Farhi was the only actual show Anna Wintour graced with her presence.. maybe the Devil Wears Farhi and not Prada!
The collection was beautiful, simple and chic, which is what Farhi is known for. We loved the sequin embellishment and pops of mustard yellow within the rest of the muted tones.
Here are a couple of pics from the show:
After a quick look around the exhibition at Somerset House and a lovely lunch at Embankment cafe we made our way over to the Vivienne Westwood show at Goldsmiths Hall. To say the crowd outside was manic would be an understatement, the bouncers were a liiiitle bit disorganised but after spotting Vivienne Westwood herself, Janice Dickinson and Pete Burns we managed to get inside the stunning venue.
The show started with some granny chic and androgynous looks moving into bolder prints and feminine assymetrical dresses. We did think this collection was a little less crazy than previous Vivienne Westwood seasons but the impeccible design still shone through.
Our last stop was the Paul Smith show. After a lovely calm entrance we were greeted and escorted to our seats. The venue was definitely the biggest we'd seen but it was laid out so well for the large audience to get a good view.
This collection was probably my favourite, I loved the tailored styles, mixed textures, bold colours and gradients on display. We're definitely looking forward to stocking Paul Smith this Autumn.
